Basic but excellent value
Straightforward coffee filter machine with only basic functions which is all I need. I have it plugged into a smart socket so I set it up and switch it on - with the socket off - before I get to bed. In the morning I can switch the smart plug on, the coffee machine starts up, and within a very short space of time I have delicious coffee without having to go downstairs. As I have a chronic health condition this is a huge benefit to me. As usual the cup measures are pretty useless but I've worked out how much water gives me two mugs of coffee, about half full. So I'm happy.

Does what it says.
It’s a nice simple coffee machine bought after getting bored with fancy espresso machines and not having to make a cup every time I wanted one. It’s easy to use and comes with all the necessary bits like a scoop etc. The missing star is because of the spout coming down off the lid and it doesn’t look like it comes off. It’s a pain to clean and if you don’t get it right it drips residual coffee in to the clean jug. Otherwise worth its price and it’s nice to have a jug of coffee when you drink a bit more.

Excellent value so far
This coffee maker has four major advantages:1. It has a water dispensing sprinkler head that covers the entire surface of the coffee in the filter basket.2. It is easy to clean, including the glass jug3. It doesn't aim for speed so the coffee actually tastes really good...even the cheapest supermarket ready-ground stuff.4. It's under £35.It's always important to remember that even after these machines have finished brewing, there will usually be water left in the basket that still needs to filter through the coffee into the jug. This is not a fault...it's perfectly normal. (I've read several reviews on different filter machines in which people grumble about this, expecting all the coffee to be in the jug when the brewing stops. The machine stops when all the water has left the reservoir, but there's always some left to filter through the coffee, especially if you're making a full pot.)The only down side is that it uses a hot plate rather than a vacuum jug, which I prefer. But, at this price it's what I would expect. But I kept a vacuum jug from a previous machine and simply decant a fresh pot full into that. All in all, it's a bargain machine. Time will tell if there are any issues with longer-term use.

Great coffee maker
Very easy to use, reasonably priced and not having to get filter papers for it is an extra boon.

Makes warm coffee, but you have to drink it immediately
This is an okay percolator if you like your coffee warm but not hot, and always drink the whole pot right away. After 30 minutes, the coffee is room temperature.Be aware that this is one of those pots that spills the first pour all over the counter, no matter how careful you are.Like most percolators, you get one mug of coffee per 2-3 cup marks on the water reservoir. If it tastes too weak, adding 33% more coffee than you normally would (e.g. 8 scoops for water filled up to the 6 cup mark) will do the trick. This percolator doesn’t do it for me. I’m replacing it, and I wouldn’t buy it again. But it depends what your needs are.

Not hot enough coffee. Too much escapes through mesh filter.
I have had to pre-heat the mugs to get hot enough coffee. The mesh filter gets dirty and uncleanable, it lets the dregs through, and the plastic handle for lifting it out breaks off. I now use number 4 size paper filters.

An Excellent Machine, Well Worth The Money.
This is a fantastic, easy to use coffee machine. The price for the product is excellent. It performs superbly, creating excellent coffee and at a very good temperature to, it is also nice and hot, especially if left on the hotplate for a few minutes after filtration. I have tried it out in various ways, with the supplied mesh filter and also with mesh removed and using unbleached size 4 paper filters. Personally I prefer the filter papers, as they can be just dumped in to the bin or on the compost heap with no mess or fuss, job done. Obviously using the reusable mesh filter means a bit more work and mess, but that is the more affordable option, or in my case emergency option if you run out of paper filters.I have also tried making the coffee single strength and drinking as is and also making like in a coffee shop, double strength and diluting with off the boil water, which gives double the capacity of the jug in theory. Both ways of brewing worked perfectly, which was an excellent result. So you can have the coffee as strong or as weak as you like and make your own adjustment to suit your palate. We drink mugs of coffee in our house and this machine makes up to four mugs with one single strength brew at a time. In those tiny coffee cups which we hate, it makes 10 cups at a time. The price of this machine is fantastic, it is worth double the price and is so much better than those ridiculous, waste of money, pod machines that people buy because they look good rather than making a great cup of coffee, then get charged a fortune for way over priced coffee pods that produce far inferior quality coffee that isn't even hot when it is made. This beats every one that I have had the displeasure of being offered a coffee from.We are really impressed with this machine and would not hesitate in recommending it to anybody, in fact, we already have.
