Getting the EXACT right smartkey is critical, and then this works fast & EASY!
Took 2 tries to get the exact smartkey for our '15 Camry XLE, matching numbers & codes & revisions on the circuit board & FCC reg. number with an ebay seller; couldn't get the exact key on amzn for anything. BUT with the correct key, this works **SO** fast & easy it's almost scary!! Bargain vs. dealer cost, no question. Bonds to one vehicle only (for life) but is more than a 1-trick pony, it becomes your smartkey management tool for that one vehicle you set it up with, and does so very well! 5/5 will buy another for our next smartkey ride.

Bad reviews for a reason
Have you ever seen an item where 40% of the people who review it give it only one star? There is a reason for all of the bad reviews. It simply doesn’t work. You are purchasing a dongle to attach to the OBD port of your car. You have to download an app that connects via Bluetooth to the dongle. They send you a password and login in the packaging so that you can activate the app. If you’re lucky enough to have the password actually functional, it’s unlikely that this will program your key and make it work. Just check out all of the other one star reviews. You might get lucky and the login works. Maybe it will even program a key for you. The odds are not so good. Also, good luck, trying to get a hold of the company for support.Stop sending these people money for a product that doesn’t work. Amazon should take notice and remove this seller.

Working Product, Poor Instructions
This thing was a bit hard to figure out, but bottom line is that the product does what it advertised to do. The application it uses has a lot of room for improvement. Took me a good bit to just figure out that my new keys are not considered "smart keys" even though the app told me they were "type 2" smart keys.I managed to clear all the previous keys on a used 2008 Honda Civic and program three new keys, including the remotes, with this tool. It's not getting a 5-star due to the lack of instructions and guidance in how to use the product and which car models it even worked for. I went off the picture in the Amazon listing as a guess.

Worked great!
Was quoted $100 per chipped key at a local hardware store, so I bought this and 4 blank keys on Amazon. Was able to get 4 keys made and programed for less than the cost of a single key at the hardware store. Programing was super quick and easy. The only issue I had was that I didn’t know I needed to use the app to read the original key I have to get the key “pin.” When programing the keys, the app will ask for a key pin. The pin is the same for all keys, and can be read off your original key. - good product. Would be better if it wasn’t a single use (8 keys, 1 car). Making (programing) 4 keys took about 10 minutes, including downloading the app, and testing the keys.

Link to download programming app does not work!
I previously gave this product a one star review because the instructions they give for accessing the app were terrible. You cannot do the smart key programming without the app and the QR code that is in the box and on the box do not take you to the app like they say it will in the enclosed instructions. To find it you will have to go to your App Store and search on “Auto key Max”.It’s a good idea to watch the first of the video reviews, which is how I finally discovered where I could find the app. I found, like him, that I had to manually enter the VIN number of my car, as the app was not successful in being able to read it, but not a big deal. I ended up successfully programming another key for my 2012 Toyota Prius, So I will upgrade my previous one star review to three starsBut there are a couple of points that I want to warn people about: the program ended up working really good once I found the app and it was reasonable in its instructions, although a bit cryptic. However, after seeing one review that said that their Electronic system got fried, I’m going to guess that this happened because they plugged in the OBD device into their car’s OBD port while the car was on, so make absolutely sure that your car is off before plugging it in.Also, when you are programming it, it will say how many keys are already programmed before it starts the actual programming. This threw me for a bit of a loop, because I only had one key given to me from the person who sold me the car. But evidently it is simply echoing your car’s record of all keys that have ever been made. So if you have only one key and it tells you that there are several keys already existing, you’ll know why it is saying that and that you should simply continue on with the program. Don’t mistake this for the number of good keys that are needed to start the programming as you only need one good key.One last point, I also saw comments on the reviews about making sure you get a good quality key to be programmed, which I agree, and I did exactly that, getting an OEM key with exactly the same FCC and IC Numbers as what was on the back of my present Smart key. But at first, it said that it failed trying to program the key. Then it occurred to me that the key I bought online had been misrepresented as a new key and was in fact preowned and already programmed to another car. So what I did was to use the erase function that you will find in the app to first erase the destination key, and then I was successful at programming it. Needless to say, just be very careful that the key that you erase is the one that you want to program and not your good key. In fact, before I started erasing the new key, I put the old key outside far away from the car, just to be sure that I would not erase it. One other word of warning about erasing, there are two erasing functions, one for the key and another, evidently for the programming system itself, or something like that. As was said by many people, instructions are terrible, so it’s hard to say what all these different functions are, as you enter the programming state. But I believe it’s pretty clearly obvious which one is the erase function for just the key itself, so you should be pretty safe using that oneIt might also be that some keys just aren’t programmable in the initial state that you received them, so regardless of whether it is new or not, If your first attempt at programming the key fails, I suggest you erase the key first and then try to program it again.Good luck and I hope that my above instructions and the first video review will serve you well in lieu of the very poor instructions by the manufacturer. I go to all this trouble in the name of you DIYers out there wanting to spite all of the dealerships that want to charge five to $600 to program a smart key. And I’m not sure I trust the locksmiths out there that want to program you a key for two to $300, as I did that and the key stopped working after six months. Get yourself an OEM key with the same FCC and IC numbers as the good key that you have and do it yourself.

Beware!
Not only did this not work, but I also fried something in my trucks computer. (2020 F350) Check engine light immediately lit up and popped 7 codes. I’ve tried their tech support and the app tech support and have received no replies. Be careful with this thing.
