Q: What is the difference between the white hard cover vs the grey hard cover version of this sketchbook? Is the quality of the paper diff?

The quality of the paper is a different weight. Personally, I like the white cover for ink work with dip pens, gouache, and acrylic. The perfect sketchbook, which is the gray cover is my absolute favorite sketchbook for watercolor. The paper is beautiful and soft, lifts easily, blooms like a dream and still shows transparency of the medium well while keeping vivid colors. I believe they use Fabriano in all of their sketchbooks but different grades of paper.

Q: Can you not get this individually? I don’t need 3 now. Too expensive for my budget. Need to try it first.

Q: What could possibly make three small blank sketch books worth $114.00 dollars?

A lot of factors make these sketchbooks worth the money. The 100 % cotton paper can handle any media thrown at it including heavy washes. Graphite pencil and fine liners glide smooth on the paper. This is by far my favorite sketch book now that I have been able to try one. Watercolor is wonderful on it and just enough tooth that colored pencils pair nicely with it as well.
