This laser will burn holes. High powered for the price. Seems to burn dark material most & especially when fully charged. I got a piece of black gauze to start smoking within seconds. Caution!! Otherwise the cats love it (worry not, we play safe). Depending on use, a fully-charged battery can last from 2 to 3 days, though it doesn't have a gauge to show when full, so i just leave it plugged in overnight & that seems to be plenty. Come with kaleidoscope-style light scatterer attached & can be removed, though gripping the base to unscrew the scatterer can be a bit tricky, as it is sunken into the casing a bit. I see other 1-star reviews because they're looking for a pointer, but it actually can indeed be used as a pointer. Functions well, built very sturdy, great price point.

This laser is NOT EYE-SAFE and NOT FOR KIDS. It's probably ~20mW. Definitely worth $10 but don't take it out during a boardroom presentation or you'll temporarily blind your co-workers. I wouldn't even let a cat or dog chase the dot on the floor - it's so bright that even when projected on a flat black surface it's too bright to look at continuously.

Powerful and effective, planning on using for astronomy pointing.

Very powerful laser pointer! (500mA?) Used with UFO sighting group. Worked well with active IR night vision goggles. Haven’t had it long enough to assess battery life but it’s perfect for the application I used it for.

This is truly a great laser pointer, very sturdy and accurate. About order another just to ensure I have one with me everyday.

I removed the top attachment with the party lights so I can get to the laser pointer. I wrapped the strap around a pair of suspenders and was walking around the woods using a chainsaw. At some point, I noticed that the top part of the device unscrewed itself and fell off and just left me with a large green dot rather than the fine tooth laser that I need it. Later, I bent over and the bottom cap that holds the battery also unscrewed itself causing the rest of the device to fall to the ground. I find it bothersome that both the top and bottom parts unscrewed themselves.

Good price, quality, and versatility.

This laser will not charge at all ! And the little charge it does get it will not shine very far ! Not as described ! Poor product!
