Inexpensive option to protect your remote control while retaining the BMW design aesthetic
I'm very impressed with the look and initial quality of this case. It has the M-line tri-color striping on the front and the spine is embossed with the "M" logo, which is a very nice touch.Easy to unscrew and remove the connector pin, slide in your remote control ("fob"), then reinsert the pin and screw together. Mine came with an extra pin. With the pin removed I chose to take out the longer strap with carabineer style clip as it was a bit cumbersome and made my fob hang awkwardly from my keychain. Instead I just threaded the loop through the keychain ring so now it hangs nicely at the same length as my other keys. It's too early to judge durability, but at this price if I get a few years of use I'll be happy. It feels strong enough to protect the fob from getting scuffed or scratched by other keys, and also help prevent accidental button presses in your pocket.Be advised, the case is designed to fit fairly snuggly and swinging the fob out to access the buttons may not be for everyone. If you think that might not be for you, have a look at the hard clamshell style cases which leave the buttons exposed.

Update: Liked so much, I bought it again for another BMW.....Just as described and works well....
Update:They are so good that I ended up buyer another pair of these for a recently added second BMW X2. They fit and look great and still allow for easy access to the buttons on the fob. Obviously these pretty much stay in a pocket or handbag and rarely ever get “handled”, especially if you have comfort access, so the main benefits are that a it’s thin enough in profile and provides protection from scratchesThe material isn't flimsy and has some sturdiness to it. It also came with two of the metal rods in different lengths for use either with or without the leather strap/hook..a nice surprise and added detail that I wasn't expecting. The remote stays in place and it isn't hard to swing out either. Though access to the panic button on the remote isn't clearly visible because of the pivot point cover, but its still accessible and hopefully not really needed to be accessed on a regular basis. It didn't add to much bulk to the fob and will prevent my keys from scratching it.

I was skeptical and had doubts...
BUT, this cover is actually better than the one from BMW. On the left you will see the cover that comes from BMW and on the right you will see the JKCOVER. The BMW one is slightly more expensive, but overall is not as well made as the JKCOVER. I do like the use of emblems and the roundel more on the BMW cover, but overall the JK fits the key so much better and is more functional. It also seems like real leather? Not sure that was advertised, but it sure smells like real leather.Best part is that I can take the roundel off the BMW cover and use it on the JK. The threads are the same, so it screws right in.By the way double check the photos to make sure you have the correct key matched to the correct cover. These things fit like a glove so getting the right one is important.

Bad ass Beemer Fob holder / protector
I must admit Isa little skeptical but when I finally figured out that I didn't even have to take my key out of this holder to use it, I realized this is one of the best looking and practical inventions ever!A lot of people just put only their fob in their pockets or purses nowadays, but unless you are extremely organized or OCD person you're (eventually) going to lose it temporarily or forever.Just think about it. If you had a big rock in your pocket or purse you wouldn't lose it. A small pebble is questionable. This cover which easily attaches to other keys and I'm my case a beautiful braided leather key chain my mom got for me in Italy, you almost are guaranteed to NOT lose the (very) expensive BMW fob and it gets securely protected from sun, dust, dirt, shock, fingerprints and wear from the cozy little good looking pouch.Well done!

Good Cover But Material Craftmanship NOT The Best
The Pros:The leather craftmanship is quality for the most part and holds up nicely. Including, the carbon fiber look coupled with our BMW M Stripe. The Cons:The screw pin extender is fairly short. Thus, when trying to flip your Key Fob out, more often than not the keyfob does not want to rotate out. Additionally, is how through normal wear and tear is how the screw pin extender will come apart - resulting in you dropping your BMW Key Fob. In fact, I ended up losing my Key Fob due to their poor craftmanship that resulted in me buying and programming a new BMW 335i Key Fob. In other words, this product can be great if they make their screw pin extender and backing more durable and longer alongside providing us with extras in the event the backing breaks off! And yes, it can break off as I even tried to use Gorilla Glue to glue it back together - even if it meant my Key Fob would be permanently tied to the cover forever. See pics to get an idea of what I meant.JKCOVER Management! You all can easily mitigate these negative reviews should you reach out to the consumer (like myself) and mailed us new screw pin extenders. And no, one cannot find them at Lowes, Home Depot, or Michaels Arts & Crafts as the ones they provide are too big to thread into the covers hole without damaging your product.
